Celebrating 10 Years of the Ekata Bakti Foundation with Various Creative Activities
Last week, the Amalan Bakti Ekata Foundation (YABE), the umbrella
foundation for Roemah Martha Tilaar and the Alex Tilaar Study Room, just
gratefully celebrated its 10 years of anniversary. As a form of
happiness, the Ekata Bakti Foundation held various exciting activities
at Roemah Martha Tilaar, Gombong, Kebumen – which is also entering its
10th year, for 3 days, December 6-8, 2024.
For information, the
Ekata Bakti Foundation or commonly referred to as YABE is a
transformation of the Gombong Cultural Heritage Foundation which is
currently headed by Wulan Tilaar since 2014. Initially, the Gombong
Cultural Heritage Foundation was established to manage Roemah Martha
Tilaar which is located in Gombong, Kebumen, Central Java. However, with
the increasing scope of the area and activities, starting in 2021 the
Gombong Cultural Heritage Foundation changed its name to the Ekata Bakti
Amalan Foundation.
Quoted from Wulan Tilaar's Instagram account,
Roemah Martha Tilaar was founded for the community as an inclusive
space that provides inspiration and empowerment. "For that, I would like
to thank the friends of RMT and all parties who have been part of this
journey. The enthusiasm, dedication, and contributions that my friends
continue to provide have had a real impact on many people, especially in
strengthening cultural values, literacy, and entrepreneurship," she
said.
To celebrate 10 years of its existence, Roemah Martha
Tilaar held various meaningful activities, namely the launch of the
Jagatan book and a discussion with Saskia Tjokro (author) and Alona Ong
(book inillustrator), a sharing session on UMKM Painting with Earth
Pigments and Bead and Resin Creations, Jagatan Storytelling Performance
with Ayo Dongeng Indonesia and Jagawana Dance with Sanggar Tari Dhea,
Journaling & Meditation Workshop, and a screening of the Jagatan
film with the director, Puput Juang. The series of events can be
attended and followed by the general public for free at Roemah Martha
Tilaar. It was so much fun!
Last but not least, in 10th year of
its existance, Martha Tilaar Group prays for the success and
sustainability of YABE, including its RMT and RBAT. May it always bring
benefits and goodness to the environment, cultural, educational, and
social communities. Keep Beautifying Indonesia!
