DR. Martha Tilaar and Wulan Tilaar Attend JFFF Awards 2016
Friday, May 13, 2016, the final event for series of fashion show at the Jakarta Fashion and Food Festival (JFFF) 2016 was closed with the awarding night of JFFF Fashion Icon Awards to three figures, who have contributed to the development of fashion industry in Indonesia. A fashion show by designer Adrian Gan in collaboration with Palantaloom was also enliven the awarding night which was held at the Ballroom of Harris Hotel, Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta.
There are three categories of JFFF Fashion Icon Awards, comprise Fashion Industry & Support, Fashion Designer, and Lifetime Achievement. Fashion photographer Firman Ichsan was awarded with Fashion Industry & Support, while famous designer Didi Budiardjo granted with Fashion Designer award. Finally the Lifetime Achievement award was given to senior actress and model Rima Melati.
The winners were chosen by professionals and experts in fashion and beauty industry, including Dr. (H.C.) Martha Tilaar.
The event was enliven by the “Eloquence by the Eighties†fashion show by Adrian Gan . He elevated the beauty of traditional Songket fabric made by handcrafters in Bukittinggi, West Sumatera, which under the guidance of Swiss nationals married couple, Bernhard and Erika Dubler Bart. A premium brand of Martha Tilaar Group, PAC, participated as official makeup partner for Adrian Gan’s fashion show. PAC also contributes as official makeup partner for all series of fashion show which were held during JFFF 2016.
Vice Chairwoman of Martha Tilaar Group, Wulan Tilaar during her interview with Metro TV after the show stated that the collaboration between PAC and JFFF was one of Martha Tilaar Group’s efforts to develop fashion and beauty industry in Indonesia.
