Puspita Martha Examination, Live from JFFF 2018 Stage
As one of beauty school that has been established for 47 years, Puspita Martha International Beauty School always set an examination as one of graduation requirements for its students. This year, their graduation exam held openlu on JFFF 2018 stage, in Atrium Mal Kelapa Gading, North Jakarta (28/4). More than 50 students from Photographic and Fashion Makeup, Bridal International, Traditional Bridal Makeup, Basic Makeup, and Hairdressing program are following this LIVE exam.
Taking Redifining Beauty as its theme, this exam judged by Pingkan Tilaar (Puspita Martha Tilaar Beauty School Director), Sendy Gothic (Professional Makeup Artist), Jemmy Lolowang (Professional Makeup Trainee of Puspita Martha Beauty School) and Ima (Traditional Bridal Senior Trainer). “Every program has its own criteria to assessed. What most important is the perfect process, from cleansing to its final result. The judges do the assessment based on two ways, objectively and subjectively,” said Sendy. She added, as time goes by, makeup trend is getting modern and easy to access. Many of Puspita Martha students get so many makeup tutorials from social media and YouTube, so when they learn in Puspita Martha they could refining their hair and makeup knowledge and technique.
“To me, the progress of Puspita Martha students through the ages is getting better and mature,” she said.
Those criteria that mentioned by Sendy are also set as qualification filter student’s capability, so they will be an creative, sucessful and independent individual in the future. More than that, alumni of Puspita Martha are directed to be able to create job opportunity, for theirselves or their surrounding.
Beside the examination, the stage also enliven by Meet the Master show, a makeup demo by Puspita Martha art team, Frans P., hair show demo from ASEAN Skills Competition 2018 candidates who following training in Puspita Martha, and 60 Best Pictures book launching by karya Dr. (H.C) Martha Tilaar, Wulan Tilaar, and Pingkan Tilaar that consists of creative makeup work from Puspita Martha students from 2010 to 2016.
