Sariayu Martha Tilaar Proudly Supports the Preservation of Cirebon Culture
Karaton Kacirebonan, supported by Sariayu Martha Tilaar, proudly presented centuries old love story of Princess Ong Tien. The legend has inspired the “Princess Ong Tien” show, and held on November 25-26 at Panggung Budaya Sunyaragi Cirebon, a heritage of the kingdom of Cirebon.
The show is created to celebrate Cirebon’s 642nd Anniversary as well as an effort to highlight the recently renovated Panggung Budaya Sunyaragi. Sariayu proudly support the show through the makeup and hair.
The event was brought to you by Kasultanan Kasepuhan Cirebon, Keraton Kanoman Cirebon, Keraton Kacirebonan, Budaya Sunyaragi Foundation, Prima Ardian Tana Foundation, Sanggar Seni Budaya Cirebon Community, Vihara Welas Asih Cirebon Foundation and is supported by Sariayu Martha Tilaar.
Sariayu Martha Tilaar is responsible for the make up and hair of hundreds of dancers including 68 women and 100 men. The make up and hair for Princess Ong Tien and Sunan Kalijaga are specially handled by Sri Retno Wulan and Tony Oktofianus from Make Up Artist - Sariayu Martha Tilaar. For the show, Sariayu isn’t only providing make up and hair but also giving product knowledge and make up application for the women dancers. This is to take full advantage of the make up and hair during the show.
Sariayu Martha Tilaar opened a counter to join the Kirab Budaya festivity the day after the show. Supporting the preservation of Cirebon culture through “Princess Ong Tien” show, Sariayu realizes that a nation needs to know and care for its culture. Just like how the show strengthen Cirebon as one destination for national culture, the brand wants to strengthen the local culture through make up and hair.
