Dr. Martha Tilaar Shares Beautypreneur Experience In Tangerang Women Penitentiary

To keep motivate Indonesian women to empowering their selves, Dr. Martha Tilaar attended an event held by Tangerang Women Panitentiary, Penitentiary Association Gathering (PIPAS), as a speaker. This bimonthly event also attended by women who work in the penitentiary and the wife of penitentiary staffs. Not only Dr. Martha Tilaar who became the speaker that day, Miranda Goeltom, former Senior Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia, also became the speaker for the event.

At first session, Miranda Goeltom shares a knowledge about how to run small and middle business, and important aspects in starting a business. “To start a business, it's very important to have both passion and seriousness. Start a business from something that you like and you should know that theris is no success when your business is a side job, you need you set up the targets,” said Miranda Goeltom.

After Miranda Goeltom, Dr. Martha Tilaar shares her business experience, about beautypreneurship. At this session the founder of Martha Tilaar Group share her very first step started her business, about her first salon which built in the garage of her parent's house, and her struggle time when started create her cosmetics. “Our culture and natural resources are very rich, we do have a lot of potency. Entrepreneur in Indonesia are just 0,14% from population, when it should be at least 2% of the population,” said Dr. Martha Tilaar in her presentation.

Dr. Martha Tilaar also said, all women should be smart to empowering their selves. “From early age, redirect all girls to know their potency. We should start from ourselves,” she said. Trough this event, Indonesian women especially the member of PIPAS are motivated to empowering their selves and start small business in order to help the family financial.
