Martha Tilaar to Represent Indonesia in Determining World Color Trend
Eachyear, every industy related to color such as fashion, cosmetic, interior design and automotive will look forward for global color trend. Color trend is needed as inspiration benchmark when particular industry wants to launch latest innovation and product. Pantone is one of the most recognizable platforms whose in charge for color trend stipulation, however there is also another platform that is also contribute in that role, called Intercolor. Intercolor is initiated by international color experts in 1963 and consists of some color experts from various fields that represent consultants and international associations who work for global companies in textiles, fashion, cosmetic, automotive and product design. Intercolor members are comprised of 16 countries, including USA, France, Japan, Korea, China, Switzerland, England, Finland, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Hungary, Thailand, Germany, Turkey, and Denmark. For the past several years, Indonesia has been following the global color trend that has been stipulated by Intercolor. In the future, Indonesia will be joining Intercolor members in determining global color trend, because Martha Tilaar Group has officially become a part of Intercolor. “Indonesia were underestimated by other countries, but we made a good impression through presentation and we give them our book as a proof that we already been stipulating color trend for 48 years, and our business is not just about making profit, but taking care of the environment as well,†Corporate Creative Innovation Director of Martha Tilaar Innovation Center (MTIC), Kilala Tilaar said. He was chosen as Intercolor member for his involvement in various international events as speaker and judge, including COSMOPROF Awards in Bologna, Italy in 2019. That was one of the reasons he was invited by Intercolor to present his research and prediction about colors.
