Roemah Martha Tilaar, A Present for Gombong
As an Indonesian, Dr. Martha Tilaar always has such desire to give contribution to her native land, Kebumen, Central Java. This aspiration eventually came true by the construction of Roemah Martha Tilaar – The House of Martha Tilaar, in Gombong, Kebumen.
Roemah Martha Tilaar wast the house of Dr. Martha Tilaar’s family and now dedicated to be a part of Gombong tourism destination. Here, people can get insights about life history of Dr. Martha Tilaar and her family genealogy. Beside as a museum, Roemah Martha Tilaar has a gallery that sell all Martha Tilaar Group’s products and also Indonesia hand crafting, especially from Gombong.
“Thank you to beloved daughter, Wulan Tilaar, who made my aspiration to always contribute for Indonesia into reality. I really want to make Gombong known nationally by Indonesia people, and even globally,†said Dr. Martha Tilaar in launching event for Martha Tilaar, last December 6, 2014 ago.
