To Support Women Empowerment, Martha Tilaar Group Held Training Program for Bilebante Community
In collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) of the Republic of Indonesia, Martha Tilaar Group team trained the Bilebante Village community in West Nusa Tenggara. The training of wellness tourism for Bilebante Village was held for 4 days (1-4/12) and inaugurated by Surana, the Directorate of Human Resource Development for Tourism of Kemenparekraf, Palupi Candra as the Head of Corporate Communications & Sustainability of Martha Tilaar Group, and the Village Chief of Bilebante.
Like the other training that has been done by Martha Tilaar Group before, this training is expected to increase the skills of Bilebante women to be more empowered in society. Coached by Martha Tilaar Salon Day Spa and Kampoeng Djamoe Organik team, the focus of the training is to learn massage techniques and the biodiversity around the village and to optimize herb garden management.
“The knowledge and insights that we shared will be needed by the women in Bilebante Village so they can identify the variety and benefits of herbs that cultivated for the health,†said Palupi. In the second session of training, the participants also taught to make scrubs or boreh from natural ingredients and herb do it will encourage innovation and the spirit of entrepreneurship.
The training program is the continuation of women empowerment that has been held by Martha Tilaar Group in Bilebante Village since 2019. Since then, many women entrepreneurs were born to help strengthen their family economy. This time, the Directorate of Human Resource Development for Tourism of Kemenparekraf expects it will increase the potential of the village and the community as the tourism operators, develop a weekly thematic market, and adding the diversity of attractions to get people’s attention that will lead to visitation to Bilebante as the tourism village.
