Jakarta (5/8) - To fulfill the Information Disclosure made in the context of fulfilling the provisions of OJK Regulation No.17/POJK.04/2020, which requires the company to conduct Information Disclosure in connection with the Proposed Material Transaction by the Issuer or Public Company which, on Wednesday (4/8/2021) PT Martina Berto Tbk submitted information to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) regarding the activity of selling assets owned by the company. The assets that are located in Sukaresmi Village, South Cikarang and Lemah Abang Districts, Bekasi Regency, West Java include land with an area of 94,352 square meters, buildings with an area of 4,839 square meters, machinery, building equipment, laboratories, and offices. The divestment of the assets is worth IDR 180 billion or equivalent to 33.34 percent of the company's equity as of June 30, 2021. The divestment plan is stated in an information disclosure as of August 3, 2021, and the assets will be sold to PT Kosmetika Global Indonesia.

The efforts to optimize assets that are considered unproductive are carried out to improve the company's business performance, among others, through net sales and increase positive cash flow. Moreover, the COVID-19 pandemic has had quite an impact on the sustainability of the company. The decline in the company's production and revenue has forced the company to take wise steps. The asset sale plan is expected to help the company from the financial side to meet the needs of raw materials in terms of fulfilling orders so that sales increase and generate a net profit. The company is optimistic that this step can have a positive impact on financial performance in particular and the condition of the company in general.

To replace the divested assets, the company itself plans to relocate to several places that are still in the feasibility study. While relocation is still in process, the company is planning to conduct Contract Manufacturing with other parties, among others. As for expanding the product sales, with the Berto Imunku brand as one of the focus products, the company will soon collaborate with a large non-group distributor. Berto ImunKu is one of the newest herbal products launched by PT Martina Berto Tbk at the beginning of last year. With an original Indonesian herbal formula that is processed with modern and hygienic technology as a natural protection for the family from various diseases, Berto ImunKu functions as an immunomodulator to increase the body's immunity naturally. Since its launch, the herbal health drink product has received quite a positive response from consumers. Sales are also quite good, especially in this pandemic.

Despite being affected by COVID-19 and having to optimize assets, PT Martina Berto Tbk is grateful that the company can still survive, stay strong, optimistic to rise, and continues the commitment to help the government and the community in dealing with COVID-19.

On Friday (30/7/2021), for example, the company donates 2 thousand boxes of Berto Imunku products to RSDC Wisma Haji to help maintain the immune system of doctors and health workers and help them stay healthy. The product is also beneficial to help speed up the recovery of patients. Since the pandemic hit, the company has tried to help by donating some of the necessities, such as hand sanitizer, hand wash, disinfectant liquid, detergent, shampoo, and staple foods, not only to health workers but also to employees, orphanages, and the community. This assistance may be only a small part of what is needed by the community, but the company hopes that these efforts can help Indonesia to quickly recover from the COVID-19 outbreak so that we can get through these difficult times together and prepare for a better start.
