The largest cosmetic raw material exhibition event in Asia, In-cosmetics Asia, has been held for three days, from 1st-3rd November at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center (BITEC), Thailand. Martha Tilaar Group, represented by CEO Kilala Tilaar, was selected as one of the judges for the Innovation Award, which is the highlight of this annual event.

In this competition, Kilala Tilaar is chosen to be the judge for two categories, namely the Zone Best Ingredient Award and Spotlight on Formulation Award. The Best Ingredient Award is an award given to the owner of the best active ingredients in cosmetic products, while the Spotlight On Formulation Award is an award for the formulation of cosmetic raw materials that focus on healthy skin, makeup, and fragrance.

To screen the winners, there were 70 raw materials and 37 formulations from various world giant companies including BASF, CLR, and Croda which were assessed by Kilala. In this process, he sees three trends that will develop in the future, namely sustainable and clean cosmetics, NeuroCosmetics, and NutriCosmetics. The competition was won by Mibelle Biochemistry for the category of Innovation Zone: Active Ingredients Award, Ashland Singapore for the category of Innovation Zone: Functional Ingredients Award, and DKSH Performance Materials for the category of Spotlight on Formulation Award.

Hopefully, Kilala Tilaar's involvement in events such as In-cosmetics would not only bring benefits and goodness to the business units and brands of Martha Tilaar Group, but also to the development of the Indonesian beauty industry.
